Thermal comfort of rural residents in Beihai area

Based on the field test and questionnaire survey, studies the annual variation of human thermal response and the thermal environment adaptability of rural residents in Beihai area. The results show that the annual thermal neutral temperature of the residents is 23.6 . The acceptable temperature range of 80% respondents is 15.9 to 31.0 . Increasing wind speed could significantly increase thermal neutral temperature. The thermal neutral temperature is 22.6, 23.8, 25.4 at the wind speed of 0 to 0.2 m/s, 0.2 to 0.6 m/s and more than 0.6 m/s, respectively. The acceptable temperature range for residents in hot-humid area is wider than that required by GB/T 50785—2012 and ASHRAE 55-2013.
